Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is an Spanish pop and flamenco artist. Since she was a teen, she has worked in both the traditional and popular music. However, her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. Her voice has been said by no less a talent than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually winning an Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami was her 3rd studio album. The singer collaborated with a variety of performers and musicians, such as Cory Henry. The album was released on March 20th, 2022 after the show by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo artist to perform on Saturday Night Live. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami also became the very first woman in history to be awarded this award.
